Alex Shipp has worked in the security industry for over 20 years. He has been awarded 11 patents in the field of malware detection and anti-spam, and has presented at conferences such as RSA, Virus Bulletin and AVAR. He was the architect behind MessageLab’s email system which processed one billion emails a day. He was the inventor and architect behind their ground-breaking email anti-malware engine, which used traffic analysis and heuristics instead of anti-malware signatures. Alex prefers to work with disruptive technology and heads the research department at Platinum HIT.
